Use this form to swap classes. If you wish to cancel a class and add another, complete this form and click the "Submit Form" button at the bottom of the page.

Please fill out the entire form. Required items on this form are marked; they will be used for identification, to determine admission, and to establish or reference your University academic record. The remaining items are voluntary and will be used for positive identification, advising and counseling, course placement, and institutional research.

Tuition and Fees

Non-degree-seeking students are required to pay tuition, fees, and all other charges on their account in full by the first billing due date for the semester.If payment is not received by the due date, your registration will be canceled. An e-mail will be sent to your University e-mail account after the term begins, notifying you that your bill is ready to be viewed on UM Pay, the electronic billing and payment system. You will not receive a paper bill. More information is available from One Stop Student Services at 612-624-1111 or helpingu@umn.edu .

All students will be billed electronically by the University for tuition and fees for all courses, including those courses taken with the audit grading option. Although you receive no credits for the audit grading option, the credit equivalents count in the credit totals for both tuition and student services fee assessment.

Hospitalization Insurance

Non-degree-seeking students are not required to provide Hospitalization insurance information.

Degree-seeking students only: The University requires that you carry hospitalization insurance when registered for six or more credits (three or more for summer). See the Boynton Health Services' health insurance information page.

Minnesota Public Interest Research Group (MPIRG)
Assessed to most students. The Minnesota Public Interest Research Group (MPIRG) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, student-run organization funded at the Twin Cities campus by an optional semester fee. A statewide advocacy group, MPIRG gives the students the opportunity to speak out on public issues and work for social change. The fee supports a professional staff for lobbying, litigation, organizing, and research. Payment is refundable through MPIRG. If you choose NOT to pay, initial here:

Collegians for a Constructive Tomorrow (CFACT)
Assessed to most students. Collegians for a Constructive Tomorrow (CFACT) is a non-profit, non-partisan, student run advocacy group that gives students the opportunity to participate in issues, research, and public policies revolving around environmentalism and other social concerns. CFACT upholds a conservative philosophy and believes that most consumer and environmental problems can best be met and overcome through the power of the free enterprise system and the ingenuity of science and technology.  Payment is refundable through CFACT.  If you choose NOT to pay, initial here:
